What did you learn from your first week at your internship? Did anything surprise you? Who did you meet and what do they do? Did you engage in any code switching?
This week form the internship is that the environment is complacently different it is relaxed and an completely musical environment it has people that have been in the business its crazy as well as there being young aspiring artist so i have to be the artist i am to keep up. the environment really surprised me and the daily intern duties the expect of me are very manageable, thing like having to sweep or something relating for max 20 minuets.one person i met was Diego Flores we imminently hit it off and started to create music and teaching each other our instruments. and for code switching not really as a fellow artist i was natural and relaxed.

How do your actions affect your workplace? Do you contribute positively? How do your co-workers actions affect your internship? Which co-workers are you connecting with?
my actions are not too influential on the work place because everything that happens is a very independent afar so it is on you but i can affect the mood because i play music in a central location all the time. the music is how i contribute positively the coworkers is the fellow artist so they are affected if i’m not up to par. and Luis and Diego are the people i’m connecting with most

What I’ve learned of what makes an artist
What I have learned about making yourself into a proper artist is that you must possess three traits you must have diligence inspiration and command of your own self some of these things I have learned from people at my internship as Bailey Elora a singer who comes there every single Saturday and record at least two songs this is also been shown to be by my sponsor Tyler who is onto her or was onto her at the time of this weekly blog something else I have learned is that every artist has their own style but is open to take in other cells and is open to teaching their style to other people and last but certainly not least is that every artist is artist through and through they breathe eat and sleep their passion for it whatever they are for where I’m at it is music and this leans upon me and makes me realize that some of the things that I must have to become an artist that I know that I can become is diligence inspiration perseverance depth of knowledge and those are very few of the many qualities that I must have.

What is the difference between working on personal art projects and working in a creative business? What have you learned about working in a creative business?
- Personal art comes with no restraints or deadlines; there aren’t any expectations imposed on you by other people.
Personal art comes with complete creative liberties. You have the freedom to express yourself in any light that you wish to.
When I compose music, whether it be on the bus or at home, I choose an idea, an emotion or scene that I am trying to convey through the music. It’s a personal process that I can take as much time as I want complete.
Working in a creative business comes with more structure, but also more stability. In terms of structure there are deadlines, time constraints, incorporation of others’ skill sets and collaboration that does not happen when you are by yourself. You have involve other peoples mind sets and tendencies/different artistic processes.
- What is the difference between working on personal art projects and working in a creative business? What have you learned about working in a creative business?
Sound board- one of the many items I have learned is the sound board this piece of equipment mixes and monitors each individual sound (that is linked to an input) coming from the sound booth such as vocals, guitar, and many more I have personally learned the function of about half of the mechanical processes as the padding and volumetric with the audio engineer there Jesus
Collaboration/teamwork- something almost completely new to me is working with multiple persons on a project the mind set is completely different such as the sounds melding and harmonizing with each other, making sure that you are listening to the ideas of everyone as well as contributing your ideas as well. This being one of the most important items I have learned because this is how I can progress in the business
Ableton- this is an software program that allows you to record and grab recordings of musical tracks and mix them into an back lay for songs I’ve learned how to use the plethora of music tracks and make some background music for song I would like to create some functions that I use are copying, duplicating, cutting, and stretching/shrinking to name a few
Process/production of music- the processes is underestimated but onlookers it now to my knowledge includes Writing, preliminary recording, editing, final recording, mixing and mastering, and then final production, All I have taken a step into the processes
Music industry- this being applicable anywhere I have learned multiple very important things about the music industry but some of the most important items one is to constantly produce music and to stay true to your product and lastly to be willing to work with others to get your name out those being something I have taken place in

How is your internship project going? Describe the progress of your project. How did the conversation about your project go with your sponsor? (If you haven’t discussed the project with your sponsor yet, how do you plan to do so?) Did they have good insights into how to improve or expand the project? How does your project bridge what you do at your internship and what you like to create for yourself? Has your relationship with your sponsor evolved as you have engaged in a creative dialogue about your project? Art there any challenges you are experiencing planning or doing your project
The inturn ship inspired project is in the very beginning stages as in I’m freshly makeing the music. As of now I have not had the conversation with my sponsor just yet I would like to. Adress the I deal of using the equipment and the personsong available to play or sing in in beacuse it is such a community drivin place I would think the best way to involve this idea can be to involve the people also them being such an performer he will have the best of insight for this performance based piece this project can bring us together as performers and bring a better relation ship
Weekly Blog QI uestion #9 What have you seen or experienced in your internship that has inspired you the most on your own artistic journey? Has this experience changed your artistic ambitions? How?
I have seen so many things have inspired me to look at my own unique artistic Jornery as the band’s and plethora of solo musical artist that have came in to the recording studio shows the passion that grew within me got larger and larger but seeing the presses has also awakened me to more opportunity to the other creative business and pathways I can take suck as audio engineering and management. One of the people that inspired me the most was Bailey Elora beacuse she showed me the way to get your name out there and I have seen it by recording covers and original music along with the constant putting out of music and the branding of one’s name. And yes the experience has changed the way I would like to go about my musical ambitions I dont plan on pursuing it as a full time job but i will not be leaving it behind
Weekly Blog Question #10 : Has this experience been a rewarding one for you? Why or Why not (keep it positive, if you had negative experiences, focus on what you learned- make yourself look good!)? How has the reality of yo2ur internship matched or contrasted with your expectations? What is the most important learning you did during your internship?
I believe that this internship has been one the most fulfilling and rewarding situation that I possibly could have put myself in it is taught me more than any other program has it showed me more than any other thing could possibly have I seen any other musicians ones that are successful ones not too successful and even ones that are up-and-coming there people who’ve been making music for so long and I’m so happy to have met them there even people who resemble me in many ways as in the instrument that they play or the way that they go about their music and I believe that I will continue going even after the internship because that’s how much for gratifying situation that I can put into the reality The Internship that has far exceeded any expectation that I possibly could have put on it it has done so much for me and I just expected to be there sweeping floors or picking up trash because that’s the type of thing that I was expecting but no I was there making music using the equipment talking to other people collaborating with other people and there’s no way that I could have expected what I’ve gotten the most important thing that I have learned though was to be a hundred percent you a hundred and 10% of the time through your music through your actions make sure that you’re showing that you are who you are to release music that is authentically you do not copy anybody else to make sure that everyone succeed at this is it my case this is Diego’s music and also to communicate collaborate and make connection to other people
